What is CAPA?

CAPA stands for the Children's Art Preservation Association. We are a non-profit organization that exists to serve both young artists and the Morrison, IL community. Our board is made up of local citizens, educators, and artists that are both passionate about the visual arts and the improvement of our small town.

What is Paint The Town?

ANSWER

Paint The Town (PTT) is a unique family arts festival that CAPA created in 1994 as a way for the Morrison community to come together and enjoy the arts. The focus of the event is the painting of five-foot squares on and around our historical Main Street. For one Saturday every September, we host 1,500+ attendees that come to paint their masterpieces, eat amazing food, and enjoy the charming essence of Morrison, IL.

When does registration open for Paint The Town?

ANSWER

Registration for Paint The Town will typically open towards the end of July or early August. We announce on our social medias when registration is officially open. Hurry to register! Spots tend to fill up very quickly.
